SPONSOR SUPPORT IS CRITICAL
We have quietly reached out to friends who have been willing to contribute sponsor funds for these concerts so that we might improve and maintain the high quality of artists we attract to these shows. And nothing is more disappointing to an artist than when the weather keeps away half of the expected audience of a house concert.
Now that Mansion Concerts Inc is officially designated as a 501(c)3 non-profit performing arts organization, these gifts are tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
So -- when the snow flies, the roads ice up or conflicts occur, I always want our artists to be compensated for a fair night's work, regardless of our audience size. Thankfully, we have received a number of generous sponsorship gifts from multiple friends and these gifts have helped us be sure our artists are compensated properly from donations when they perform at the Mansion.
We usually reach into our own pockets to buy dinner for these artists and occasionally offer our home to defray their overnight lodging expenses. But should the weather keep a lot of people away on a night of a show, these sponsor funds really help us offset “lower-than-expected” front-door donations.
If you or your company would like to make a tax-deductible donation to this concert series, we'd be pleased to post your name and/or your company on this website -- or we can make this as anonymous as you would like. Our Paypal account is the best way to send this “as a gift” to ensure that no Paypal fees are removed.
Mansion Concerts Inc. does not retain any proceeds (aka profit) from these concerts. All donations pay for the room rental, artist accommodations/expenses, and other things like bottled water or coffee. Otherwise, 100% of the front door donations are paid to the artists on the night of the concert.
